Successfully complete the three approved sales pre-license real estate courses: |

Once passing the final exam you will be sent a packet including a Salesperson License Application. Within one year of the date you pass the examination you must apply for your salesperson license by submitting application, fees, fingerprints, proof of legal presence and education information. |

Conditional salesperson licenses are issued to those who completed only the Real Estate Principles course. Have a minimum of two years full-time licensed salesperson experience within the last five years or equivalent experience is required. Apply for your Broker License Examination. Send your application, fees, transcripts, employment verification, transcripts, documented experience and disability accommodation information if needed. Once passing the final exam you will be sent a packet including a Broker License Application. Within one year of the date you pass the examination you must apply for your salesperson license by submitting application, fees, fingerprints (if applicant holds an active salesperson license they do not need to obtain anther set) and proof of legal presence. |

Salespersons renewing their license for the first time (after satisfying the 18 month conditional requirements) must complete 4 separate 3 hour DRE-approved courses in the subjects of Ethics, Agency, Trust Fund Handling and Fair Housing. |

For the second license renewal, all salesperson are required to complete 45 hours of continuing education every 4 years to keep their license current. The 45 hour course must include at least 6 hours covering topics of Agency, Ethics and Professional Conduct, Trust Fund handling, and Fair Housing. The remaining hours may be any approved course topics |

For your first renewal if you became a broker in your first 4 years of licensure and have not completed the 4 separate 3 hour DRE-approved courses in the subjects of Ethics, Agency, Trust Fund Handling and Fair Housing, you must do so. |

If you have completed the above courses you will only need to complete a six hour course covering topics of Agency, Ethics and Professional Conduct, Trust Fund handling, and Fair Housing as part of your 45 hour requirement. The remaining hours may be any approved course topics. |
